Monday afternoon, the pupils of the elementary school of the Golden Islands in Hyères were disturbed during their lessons. The intrusion alert was immediately triggered by the director of the establishment, calling on the teaching team and the schoolchildren to confine themselves to their classes.
A father, who came to pick up his sick child, entered the school, for reasons yet to be determined, after having forced one of the entrance doors to the establishment. Alerted by the management, the police officers of the Hyères police station quickly intervened and arrested this parent of a pupil educated in the establishment.
He was taken to the police station and placed in police custody for trespassing in a school establishment and damage. The school director filed a complaint, as did the city of Hyères.
According to the Rectorate, the father had been called by the teaching team to pick up his sick child. Unable to move, he had asked an acquaintance to pick up his child. But the latter not being on the list of authorized persons, as provided for in the regulations for security reasons, she was unable to recover the suffering student during school time. Warned, the dad would then have lost his temper.
At the end of his police custody which ended on Tuesday, the father of the family will be the subject of a criminal composition. (1)
