Temperatures above 15 degrees are expected next week

At the peak of Surwakar customs, the weather will be cloudy throughout the day with reduced visibility in some low-lying areas in the early hours. There will be rain in the eastern half of the country, but not in significant amounts. Snow will fall in Stara Planina and the Rilo-Rhodope region. Daytime temperatures will be between 4 and 9 degrees.

At night and on Sunday, the cloudiness will break, in more places in Western and Central Bulgaria. In the mountains, the wind will increase in the afternoon. In the warmest part of the day, the thermometers will move within similar limits – again between 4 and 9-10 degrees.

At the start of the third full week of January, warm air will sweep in from the south, sending temperatures soaring in another atypical winter warm-up. The wind will be strong with powerful warm gusts, and daytime temperatures around Wednesday-Thursday will push values above 15 degrees.

Meanwhile, another Mediterranean cyclone will form. The cloudiness will be dynamic, but almost throughout the week there will be local precipitation in southern Bulgaria. Only after January 20th, during the next weekend, will it get colder with a trend for snow.
