Saale Bulls in goal frenzy against Krefeld

Halle (Saale)/MZ – Without too some injured regulars and the suspended captain Sergej Stas the Saale Bulls have completed their compulsory task in the ice hockey league.

On Friday evening, Halle managed a clear 11:2 home win against bottom-placed Krefelder EV. The Bulls have never scored so many goals this season.

With two goals in the first third, the Finnish star striker Matias Varttinen set the stage for a victory for the Bulls early on. In the middle section, Thomas Merl and Patrick Schmid finally ensured clear conditions three times.

The final third was even richer in goals for the reigning champions: Schmid scored two more goals, Roman Pfennings and Thomas Gauch also scored for Halle. Merl set the final point with his fourth goal of the evening to make it 11:2.

Halle has thus won all four games of the season against Krefeld, previously there had already been two 6-4 wins and one 7-0. On Sunday (6.30 p.m.) the Saale Bulls continue their game with the away game at Moskitos Essen.
