The year 2022 was marked by the great return of inflation.
The scourge of the pandemic just removed, but absolutely not definitively removed, inflation has shown the tip of its nose, with its share of upheavals, in the first place, on the purchasing power the French.
The bad news followedstarting with the war on European soil.
Not unhappy to turn this page 2022, we are not reassured by starting this year 2023. Will inflation remain or will we see a slowdown, or even a reduction in the progression of prices ? Will an opening towards peace on the Ukrainian front finally calm international tensions and their inevitable economic consequences? The future will tell and we will all continue to act with the will to overcome the difficulties.
With the hope that the year 2023 allows us to see our future more serenely and that of our children, you can still and always rely on your health insurance to once again demonstrate its resilience tested by more than 90 years of existence which have seen it go through many world crises.
Unsurprisingly, the price of car spare parts, which had already soared in recent years, continued to rise in this inflationary context. The observed increase has reached more than 10% over the last 12 months. A particularly strong and unprecedented increase highlighted by the Association Sécurité et Réparation Automobiles (SRA).
The year 2022 was also marked, once again, by this climate change and by its share of natural disasters, storms, hail, floods…
Inevitably, the cost of repairs, the increase in intensity claims and the average cost of files, the increase in the cost of reinsurance, the MFA is impacted and any price increases we experience are between 6% and 16%. Like all insurersits Board of Directors decided to apply a price increase that it wanted contain by absorbing part of it through our mutual funds. Depending on the risks covered, this results in an average increase of 5% in contributions maturing in 2023.
This measure is necessary to preserve our common heritage with the desire to always balance the accounts of your mutual.
