Thirty-four-year-old Ondráček returned to Zlín last year after a one-year stint at Motor České Budějovice. This year, he scored six goals and the same number of assists in 34 games for the Rams. In the extra league, he has 721 games and 192 points (86+106).
“Jirka showed interest in playing extra league and this exchange makes sense for us. As a defensive forward, other extra league teams were also interested in him, but the agreement with Kometa was a priority,” general manager Robert Hamrla told the Beran website.
Zlín, which was relegated from the extra league after 42 years, is in 12th place in the second highest competition. They lose six points in the pre-round of the playoffs.
The 25-year-old forward Kratochvíl scored four assists in 31 matches. He scored a goal and an assist in five matches in the first league for Přerov. “We were very interested in Petr Kratochvíl, last year he got along very well with Denis Kindle. I believe that in the rest of the season he will increase the productivity of our attack, which we see as the biggest problem of the current team,” said Hamrla.
