“The most passionate, strong and loving woman I know. We ask that we not be disturbed as we try to cope with this profound loss,” her mother also wrote.

He lost his father, the king of rock Elvis Presley, when he was only 9 years old.

He has four marriages and four children.
She married pop star Michael Jackson in 1994, just 20 days after divorcing her first husband, musician Danny Keough.
The famous couple divorced in 1996 as Jackson battled allegations of child molestation.
Presley married actor Nicolas Cage, a big fan of her father, in 2002. Cage filed for divorce four months later.
Her fourth marriage is to her guitarist and music producer Michael Lockwood. Their divorce was finalized in 2021.
What she did not survive was the death of her son, Benjamin Keough. He committed suicide in 2020. Lisa Marie then shares that she is completely devastated and will never recover.

“Grief is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, regardless of what certain people or our culture wants us to believe. You don’t “get over it,” you don’t “move on.” Period.”
She stated that the pain is “incredibly lonely” and that she struggles daily with guilt. To ease her suffering, she attended support groups with other bereaved parents.
“Obviously no parent chooses this path, and fortunately not all parents will have to fall victim to it – and I do mean VICTIM.” I used to hate that word. Now I know why. I have dealt with death, grief and loss since I was 9 years old. I’ve been through a lot and somehow survived. But this…the death of my beautiful, so beautiful son. The most amazing person, thinking about him and proud of the privilege of being his mother,” Presley also shared.
She wrote that she “chooses to move on” after the loss of Benjamin to fight for her daughters.
“I keep going because my son would, he adored his sisters.”
