For example, Harry mentions a situation when the four of us had a cold during dinner, and his wife tried to relieve him with home remedies using oregano oil and turmeric. Such an idea supposedly made the atmosphere at the table thicker, and Kate was to make it clear to everyone that these are just inventions and the use of “unconventional methods” is unlikely to help here.
Harry also claims that after Markle had already started royal activities, she was reportedly extremely worried about a potential fight with her sister-in-law for press attention and influence in the family. Eksroyals maintains that Middleton feared competition from Meghan, who was much more free to express her views. She had a bad opinion of her sister-in-law even during their first meeting, when the American greeted her barefoot and in torn jeans, and Kate was “dressed from head to toe”.
Another bone of contention was supposed to be gifts from well-known brands. It is a royal rule that the royals do not accept such gifts, and the Palace itself buys the clothes and accessories that the royals then wear. Harry admits that Meghan didn’t really care and accepted expensive gifts, which Kate allegedly resented her. However, Harry assures that she gave most of them to her colleagues.

Between the lines, Harry also cited Kate and William’s reaction to media rumors that Meghan had made her sister-in-law cry. All she had to say was that she was “very colorful” and then there was dead silence.

In the book we can also read that Meghan had to wear creations in certain colors so as not to outshine Kate or seniors, and her joint exit to Wimbledon in 2019 “wasn’t what it seems”. She herself had already mentioned it on the occasion of her memorable visit to Oprah Winfrey.
