TRIBUNMATARAMAN.COM – The number of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Blitar City has increased again in 2022.

The Blitar City Health Office (Dinkes) asked the public to be vigilant about the transmission of dengue cases in 2023.

“The Covid-19 pandemic is sluggish, the trend of DHF cases is increasing again. For this reason, people must be vigilant and continue to practice a clean and healthy life,” said Health Administrator, Expert Junior Blitar City Health OfficeDr. Trianang Setyawan, Friday (13/1/2023).

In 2021, the Health Office noted that there were only 49 cases of DHF in Blitar City.

“December 2022 there were quite a lot of additional DHF cases in Blitar City. Maybe it was also due to the weather factor. Early January 2023 there were also several patients being treated, but they were still being diagnosed as to whether they had DHF or not,” he said.

A total of 94 cases of DHF in 2022 are mostly found in patients aged 5-14 years with a total of 58 cases.

Then, there were 20 cases of patients aged 15-44 years, patients aged 1-4 years there were eight cases, patients under one year of age were six cases, and patients over 45 years were two cases.

“There is one dengue patient who will die in 2022,” he said.

Trianang acknowledged that there was an increasing trend of dengue cases in Blitar City in 2022.

He detailed the development of dengue cases in Blitar City from 2019 to 2022.

In 2019, there was a spike in DHF cases in Blitar City with a total of 255 cases.

Then, in 2020, DHF cases decreased to 85 cases. In 2021, DHF cases will drop again to 49 cases.

Meanwhile, in 2022, the trend of dengue cases will increase again to 94 cases.
