More than 20 million doses administered – Diario de Centro América

In total, 3,670 students from 25 educational establishments in indigenous communities will benefit from the technological equipment delivered yesterday by the president Alejandro Giammatteiauthorities of the Guatemalan Indigenous Development Fund (Fodigua) and of the Ministry of Education (Mineduc).

The ruler indicated that work will be done so that Fodigua can be a channel for economic development programs in the interior of the country. He mentioned the Bank of Threads, which seeks to promote the development of women; funds for micro-enterprises, training and the White Seal to combat poverty.

Leopoldo Mateo Chuc, executive director of the aforementioned Fund, indicated that the provision of 300 computers will benefit educational centers of the Quiché, Kaqchiquel, Mam, Xinca, Pocomchí, Achí, Acateco, Quekchí and Ladino indigenous communities of San Marcos, Sololá , Quetzaltenango, Totonicapán, Huehuetenango, Izabal and Baja Verapaz.

The Government reiterated its commitment to intercultural education in the country, providing technological tools to the most needy communities.
