LOGROO, 8 (EUROPA PRESS)
The Extraordinary Chair of Commerce – a project of the Logroo City Council and the University of La Rioja to promote retail trade – is carrying out a virtual reality experiment to analyze the interest that this technology can arouse in consumers.
The project is a collaboration between the University of La Rioja and Manchester Metropolitan University, the result of the research stay of Dr. Alba García Milon, and consists of viewing a 5-minute video about the Christmas market in this British city through through virtual reality glasses.
Natalia Medrano Sez and Alba García Milon, researchers from the Extraordinary Chair of Commerce, intend to observe how virtual reality can generate interest or change the intention of visiting a Christmas market like the one in Manchester; as well as identifying the elements that can enhance sensations of immersion and telepresence in virtual reality.
This experience is open to all of society and will take place this Friday, December 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Quintiliano Building.
