Winning Penalties, El Barca Advances to the Finals

Barcelona advanced to the Spanish Super Cup final after winning 4-2 over Real Betis on penalties. The duel was determined in the high-five round after a 2-2 draw.

Betis vs Barcelona will be presented at the King Fahd Stadium in the semifinal match of the Spanish Super Cup, Friday (13/1/2022) early morning WIB. El Barca appeared pressing from the start of the fight.

However, the Blaugrana almost conceded first in the 21st minute. Jules Kounde made a fatal mistake when his back pass was too weak.

Score 1-0 for Barcelona lasted until the break.

Three minutes after the break, Barcelona had a golden opportunity. Lewandowski but failed to take advantage of a measured bait from Jordi Alba.

Betis who are left behind try to give resistance. They could equalize the numbers in the 77th minute.

Luiz Henrique was able to outwit a Barcelona player before giving the ball to Fekir. Fekir then fired hard from inside the penalty box to score.

Barcelona responded quickly to this goal. They could have scored the second goal in the 81st minute.

Lewandowski made a brace after completing the hard work of Ferran Torres. But again, this goal was annulled because Torres was offside first.

No additional goals were then created until 90 minutes. The score was tied at 1-1 so the game had to go to extra time.

In the 93rd minute. Barcelona can finally get back ahead. Fati scored a beautiful goal through a volley to grab the ball which was driven away by the opposing defender.

However, Betis refused to give up. They again equalized the score in the 101st minute.

Luiz Henrique is again the creator of Betis goals. His bait from the right side can be completed into a goal by Loren Moron through a shot backheel.

The match had to be decided on penalties after the score was 2-2 closing 120 minutes.

In the penalty shootout, four Barcelona kickers, namely Lewandowski, Franck Kessie, Ansu Fati and Pedris, successfully carried out their duties.

Meanwhile, in the Betis camp, two executors, Juanmi and William Carvalho, failed. Only Loren Moron and Willian Jose were able to score goals from the spot.

Barcelona won 4-2 to advance to the final against Real Madrid.
