Karine Traval-Michelet, mayor of Colomiers, and her first deputy Arnaud Simion, delegate for human solidarity, launched the sixth edition of the Citizenship Permit on Monday, a collective action led by the city of Colomiers and the local Mission of Haute-Garonne . “Created in 2018 in Colomiers, the citizenship permit is a device that forms part of a global approach to support youth employment and mobility”, presents Arnaud Simion.
About fifteen beneficiaries will therefore be accompanied by the professionals of Scuola Guida Evasione in obtaining the driving code and licence.
“Mobility is very important today for these young people who need to find a job quickly, so our participation in this action makes a lot of sense for us,” says Jeanine Terremere, head of the partner driving school.
In addition, these young people aged 18 to 25 will carry out an internship in various municipal services, receive training in first aid and participate in road safety prevention workshops.
“For five years, 90% of the young people involved in this system have obtained a driving license and 70% have subsequently found a job contract”, continues the elected Columérin, who, with Karine Traval-Michelet, wished successful in the class of 2023, hoping to do like their predecessors.
