The incident occurred in November

The man who shot and killed a 14-year-old boy in Buzovgrad in November has been released on bail. On the fateful day, the defendant Dimitar Kosev sat down behind the wheel after consuming alcohol and drugs. After wiping out the victim, Ivan Sedmakov, the 57-year-old man fled the scene.

After the incident, a series of protests were held in Buzovgrad.

Prosecutors initially announced they would seek the harsher sentence for the detainee, with permanent arrest. On 6 January, however, Kosev was released on BGN 3,000 bail.

Initially, it was announced that the man would be liable to Themis for manslaughter, but later the prosecution prosecutor changed the charge to “caused death by negligence”. Thus, less than two months after the incident, Dimitar Kosev found himself at home in the village of Rozovo.
