Four days before Christmas, during Litvínov’s match, Bulíř managed to play just over four minutes. In one of the fights, he was unfortunately hit by an opponent’s skate and the 31-year-old striker withdrew from the match.
Originally, he was supposed to return early, but the injury ended up being much more serious. “The recovery has been worse than initially expected, so the Liberec captain has had to undergo surgery. This will extend his recovery by six to eight weeks. He should be ready by the end of the season,” said the White Tigers on their website.
Bulíř returned to his native Liberec after a season spent in Pilsen, in which he shone with 56 Canadian points and finished third in competition scoring. After returning to Ještěd, he was supposed to lead Northern Bohemia, but bad luck remained with him.
In twenty games played, Bulíř managed only three goals, to which he added seven assists. However, Liberec is also doing well without a key player, scoring four times in a row and maintaining sixth place in the extra table.
