The defense of the footballer Jean-Manuel Nedra, involved in a cocaine deal, intends to assert the presumption of innocence. His lawyer, Philippe Edmond-Mariette, denounces the media treatment of the Parisian press in this matter.
The photo and above all the headline of a Parisian newspaper provoked the indignation of maître Philippe Edmond-Mariette, Jean-Manuel Nedra’s lawyer.
The Martinican footballer was arrested at the airport Roissy Charles de Gaulle Sunday, January 1, 2023, in possession of over 100 kg of cocaine in his suitcases and those of his partner. He has been in custody since then.
His lawyer does not understand how the minutes of his client’s hearing ended up on the pages of the newspaper “Le Parisien”.
According to him, some would have voluntarily “leaked” this information, in order to alert traffic sponsors.
