Ronaldo’s move to Al Nasser is similar to Pele’s: coach
A Nasser coach, Rudy Garcia, compared Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s switch to Al Nasser to the career of Brazilian legend Pele. Garcia’s statement emphasized that Pele joined American club New York Cosmos in 1975 at the end of his career.
“I compare Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Pele’s towards the end of his career. Ronaldo went to Al Nasser, the Saudi league, while Pele went to the North American Soccer League.
Either way, Ronaldo’s arrival in Saudi will pave the way for the advancement of football and other sporting cultures here. Cristiano’s position is more than just a player. He’s the best player in the world,’ said Rudy Garcia.
Ronaldo has yet to compete since joining the Saudi Arabian club. Videos of the actor’s training at Alnaser have been circulated on social media.

But the match against PSG on January 19 is expected to be Ronaldo’s debut game at Al Nasr. Though he joined Al Nasr, Ronaldo’s debut was delayed following a two-match ban imposed by the English Football Association (FA).
Al Nasr had previously stated that Ronaldo will not play in the Saudi Pro League match against Al Shabab on the 14th. It was initially announced that Ronaldo Al Nasser will wear the shirt in the match against Etihad.
However, Al Nasser’s manager Rudy Garcia has stated that Al Nasser could play Ronaldo in the match against PSG.
The club’s offer is 200 million euros a year. Ronaldo can also become the manager of the team if his contract as a player expires.
Aside from that, reports indicate that Ronaldo is under discussion as Saudi Arabian ambassador. There are also reports that Al Nasr’s entry is part of the Saudi bid to host the 2030 World Cup alongside Egypt and Greece.
