Djokovic rings alarm bells in Australia

Novak Djokovic’s Australian Open career didn’t start well for the Serbian tennis player just days before the start of the competition next Monday, in a Grand Slam in which the Serb returns after last year’s controversial absence after being expelled from Australia.

This Wednesday, During the training with the public that Djokovic had against an important rival in Daniil Medvedev, the Serbian had to withdraw halfway through the scheduled time for the session, 75 minutes.

The reason Djokovic had to leave this training match with Medvedev was that the Serbian was suffering from dragging left knee discomfort since the Adelaide International 1 and after losing in the first set of this match against Medvedev 6-4, in which Djokovic had to be assisted on several occasions.

Despite this sudden abandonment of the training session, It is not yet known whether Djokovic will be able to participate in a massive new training against Nick Kyrgios this Friday and, more importantly, whether these inconveniences could weigh him down before the start of the competition next Monday at the Australian Open in which the Serbian will seek his tenth title to equal Rafa Nadal’s 22 Grand Slams.
