SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- A new winter storm hits the state Tuesday night with heavy winds, rain and snowfall in parts of the state.
Rain is rapidly turning to snow on the West to East Wasatch Front, along with wind gusts in the 40-50 mph range.
Winter driving conditions apply for drivers along I-15, I-70, and I-80; therefore the authorities ask you to drive slowly, keep your distance from other vehicles and check your car before setting off.
Officials said the storm could affect travel Wednesday morning, asking drivers to check the weather before setting off.
The avalanche warning, winter storm warning and heavy snow warning will also continue through Wednesday.
