KOMPAS. com – International football’s governing body, FIFA, has highlighted the attitude of Malaysian fans who still pay tribute to Thai players even though their team just lost in the semi-finals Cup AFF 2022.

The Thailand national team managed to secure a ticket to the final AFF Cup 2022 after eliminating Malaysia in the semi-final second leg on Tuesday (10/1/2023).

Defending champion Thailand hosted Malaysia in the second leg 2022 AFF Cup Semi-Finals with one goal behind Malaysia.

In the first semi-final in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday (01/07/2023), the Thai national team formed by Alexandre Polking lost 0-1 against the hosts Malaysia.

However, in the second leg at home, War Elephant Troops managed to turn things around.

Playing at Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand managed to conquer Malaysia with the score of 3-0.

Three of Thailand’s winning goals were scored by Teerasil Dangda in the 19th minute, Bordin Phala (55) and Adisak Kraisorn (71).

The semi-final results of the 2022 AFF Cup moved Thailand to the final with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Malaysia.

Even though the team lost, the Malaysian national team fans who went to Thammasat Stadium continued to pay their respects to the host players.

After the match, the Thailand team led by team captain Theerathon Bunmathan approached the stands occupied by Malaysian fans.

In the stands, a group of Malaysian fans voiced their voice do you sing and applauded the winning team.

Seeing the action from the opposing team’s fans, Theerathon Bunmathan joined in the applause and continued to spread smiles.

A respectful show was presented at the Thailand Stadium in Bangkok.

Next, Thailand will challenge Vietnam in the match AFF Cup Final 2022.

In the other semi-final, Vietnam won 2-0 on aggregate against Indonesia.

The 2022 AFF Cup Final between Thailand and Vietnam will take place over two legs on Friday (13/1/2023) and Monday (16/1/2023).
