A new video posted on Twitter is making people laugh. Elephants are gentle creatures, but they are also giants and take their time exploring difficult terrain.
In the clip, 2 elephants queue to go down a small slope. For the gigantic creature, even descending a small hill can seem like a daunting task. Something similar happened to the elephants, who were in the front row and seemed to be having difficulty descending the slope. It first stretched out its front legs and then crawled down the uneven ground.
The elephant wasn’t very graceful going down the stairs.
The second elephant in line appears to be teasing his friend by waving his trunk as if laughing at the first elephant’s clumsy attempts. The elephant then went all out and taunted the other elephants by rolling down the slope. The scene looked like one from an animated film where the animals play, teasing each other like humans do.
In a Twitter post, one user wrote, “Who says elephants don’t have a sense of humor.”
Elephants have long been known for their strong family ties and social sophistication, as well as their obvious intelligence. Giant creatures align with many of the values we normally associate with humans, and videos are just another point added to that list.

People online were hysterical after watching the video. While many people loved the adorable video, there were some who saw no humor in the situation.
“He’s just a young elephant who doesn’t know proper technique. It’s not his front paws on the bottom steps, he’s sliding down,” one user wrote.
Another user thanked the user for posting the video, saying, “It’s good to see elephants enjoying life. Thanks for sharing interesting videos. God bless you.”
One commentator noted that all elephants have their own way of negotiating slopes: “Every creature has a different technique.” (yn)
