Zelensky clarified in his daily speech that these attacks are the most serious since the beginning of Russia’s campaign against those areas.
Solidar is located in the Donetsk region, about 15 kilometers from the city of Bakhmut, which before the war had 70,000 inhabitants and is now a center of fighting.
On Monday, Ukrainian forces announced they had repulsed an attempt to seize Solidar, but fighting has resumed.
He also confirmed that Russian forces launched 31 airstrikes and 72 missile systems in the past 24 hours.
