New edition of the Green Rooftop Cinema, every Tuesday at 20:00 at the Photography Center of the Municipality of Montevideo.
This season, the feature-length documentaries that make up the grid have as a common denominator the link with the archive, the evocation of memory and its various registers. The proposal to the public consists of an invitation to reflect on memories through the use of films, according to the municipality of the capital.
The film will be screened on Tuesday 10 January white guitar, by Aldo Garay (Uruguay, 65′). The activity is free.
White Guitar is, at the same time, the story of an unfinished documentary about Alfredo Zitarrosa and that of its director, Francisco Papico Cibils, who was a poet who lived in exile, a man who since the early 1980s had been traversing his shoulder with a VHS camera , challenging the bland home life record these cameras were made for.
