Considered one of the future fighters of the mixed martial arts community, American Victoria Lee died a few weeks ago at the age of 18.
Sister Angela revealed it on her Instagram account on Saturday. The cause of death was not made public.
Victoria Lee was following in the footsteps of her brother Christian and sister, who were both One Fighting Championship champions. At age 17, she won her first three career fights with this organization; throughout 2021, the Hawaii native won by knockout on every occasion.
“On December 26, our family experienced something no one else should experience. It’s incredibly hard to say, but our Victoria is dead,” wrote Angela Lee, world champion at 47 kilograms.
“She left too soon and our family has been completely devastated since then,” he added. We miss it more than anything. Our family will never be the same again, and neither will life.
In 2022, the athlete had temporarily put aside his sports career to focus on his studies.
