The “Volleyball Guarantee” list, led by the outgoing head of the federation’s administrative committee, Walid Al-Qasouf, won the administrative committee elections which were held in the Michel Al-Murr compound in Baouchriyeh, under the supervision of Muhammad Oweidat, who was tasked with completing the electoral process by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Al-Qasouf’s list won 13 out of 15 seats, and was penetrated by Vice President of the Olympic Committee, President of the US Embassy Club, Asaad Al-Nakhl, and former beach soccer champion, international player Ghassan Qirdahi. Al-Qasouf maintained his position and headed a list that included members of the previous administrative committee, with the exception of Vice-Presidents Al-Nakhl and George Nassour (who abstained from running). Al-Qasouf first joined the Administrative Committee in 2002 as Vice-President, then Secretary from 2005 with President Walid Younes, then with Presidents Jean Hammam (2008, 2012 and 2016) and Michel Abi Ramia (2017 to 2020) . Al-Qasouf is the son of the godfather of the game, Shehada Al-Qasouf, whose name is associated with it, and the Youth School of Bouchrieh, the record holder for the number of victories in the Lebanese championship. The elections saw the return of international lecturer Emile Jabbour, who is one of the continent’s, Arab world’s and international top technicians, following his reluctance to run for the 2020 session.
