The couple who met on the set of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ announce a new addition to the family, five years after their first.
The baby news was revealed on Instagram, where both Ian Somerhalder (44) and Nikki Reed (34) shared a photo of Reed’s pregnant belly.
This will be the couple’s second child.
“All I wanted as a boy was to have a large family. Thanks Nik for giving me that gift. Round two here we go!” Somerhalder wrote in the Instagram post.
Plus, he puts his wife to shame for being the best mother in the world and all the work she does for the family.
The couple got married in 2015 and got theirs first child two years later.
The couple made acting careers in their respective vampire series. Nikki Reed from ‘Twilight’ and Ian Somerhald from ‘The Vampire Diaries’.
Nikki Reed points out to her Instagram followers that she has strict limits on what she posts on social media, especially when it comes to children.
“But some things are just too good not to share,” she continues.
This is Reed’s second marriage. She was married to artist Paul McDonald of ‘American Idol’ fame from 2011 to 2014.
Somerhalder was previously with his ‘The Vampire Diaries’ co-star Nina Dobrev, but their relationship ended in 2013.
Reed and Dobrev are old friends and fans resented it when Reed struck the tone with her friend’s ex-boyfriend. Dobrev has previously stated that he has no issues with their relationship.
