Pretoria: South African bowler Dwayne Pretorius has retired from international cricket. Pretorius has said he will retire to focus on the domestic Twenty20 series.
He played 30 Twenty20s, 27 ODIs and three Tests for South Africa. He played in both World Cups. Pretorius also holds the record for the best performance by a South African bowler in T20Is. In the match against Pakistan, Pretorius allowed 17 runs and took five wickets.
The 33-year-old Pretorius took 35 wickets each in seven Tests, ODIs and T20Is. He scored 83 runs at an average of 13.83 in Tests and 192 runs at an average of 16.00 in ODIs. There is also half a century in the ODIs. He has scored 261 runs at an average of 21.75 in Twenty20. His highest individual score was 77 runs.
