BMKG issues tsunami early warning after M 7.9 earthquake in Moluccas

Earthquake M 7.9 shook the western southeastern Moluccas. BMKG issues tsunami early warning.

“Tsunami Early Warning for Region: MALUKU, SULTRA,” the information said on the BMKG’s official website as seen, Tuesday (10/1/2023).

The earthquake was known at 0047 WIB. The epicenter of the earthquake was 148 km northwest of the western southeast Moluccas. The depth of the earthquake was 131 km.
