Heru Budi on 2022 Formula E balance sheet audit: I’m not an auditor…

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – DKI Jakarta Interim Governor (PJ) Heru Budi Hartono was reluctant to comment on the results of the audit of the financial statements of the 2022 Jakarta Formula E electric car race.

It should be noted that PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer of Formula E Jakarta has not yet released the audit results of the electric car racing financial report.

When asked about the progress of the audit results, Heru Budi actually replied that it was not serious.

“Yes, I am not an auditor,” he said on Monday (9/1/2023) at DKI Jakarta Town Hall, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

When asked if the DKI Jakarta (Pempprov) provincial government would propose sponsorship to SOE for the implementation of Formula E 2023, Heru Budi also tended not to be serious.

He then asked PT Jakpro to seek sponsors from within the ranks of BUMN.

“I don’t know, it’s a deal. How about a proposal, go ahead (seeking sponsors within the ranks of BUMN),” Heru said.

PT Corporate Secretary Deputy Jakpro Syachrial Syarif previously said his staff were coordinating with Formula E Operations (FEO) regarding the implementation of Formula E midway through this year.

The organizing team for Formula E 2023 is said to have entered the final stages of preparing for the electric car race.

“We are currently coordinating intensively with the FEO and the final stages of preparing the team that will be responsible for this year’s event,” Syachrial said via text message, Jan. 6, 2023.

He revealed, according to the FEO’s official schedule, that Formula E Jakarta will take place on June 3 and 4, 2023. This schedule is said to be still provisional.

However, continued Syachrial, the schedule for holding Formula E Jakarta has been released on the FEO’s official website.
