On Saturday (7), around 13:00, an 82-year-old drove her car on the B38 coming from Reichelsheim in the direction of “Gumpener Kreuz” and intended to turn left here in the direction of Fürth.
During a turn, there was a head-on collision with the oncoming car of a 25-year-old from the Bergstraße district, who was driving on the B47 coming from the direction of Winterkasten. Both drivers sustained minor injuries in the crash and were taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The material damage to the vehicles involved is estimated at around 10,000 euros.
The roadway was closed for several minutes to allow vehicles to be recovered. In addition to the rescue service and the police, the Reichelsheim volunteer fire brigade was also deployed.
