What can you expect today?
- Tonight could be the launch of the first space rocket from British soil in Cornwall. Whether Virgin Orbit’s rocket, which will launch satellites into space, takes off depends on the weather.
- Today, south of Rotterdam, renovation work begins on the busy Rose Knoop intersection. Road users and public transport travelers in South Rotterdam will have to take into account detours, delays and traffic disruptions for the next eighteen months. The project is expected to be completed in September 2024.
- Rachel Hazes and juice vlogger Yvonne Coldeweijer face off in Amsterdam court. Hazes wants Coldeweijer to post a correction to a video in which she makes claims about Rachel Hazes’ relationship with her son André.
- German police hold a press conference on the evacuation of the village of Lützerath, which is in danger of disappearing due to lignite mining. It is expected to announce how the village will be evacuated. The village is currently occupied by climate activists.

Thousands of supporters of the former right-wing president stormed yesterday the parliament building in the capital Brasilia, because they believe that his successor Lula owes his electoral victory to fraud. The security forces managed to regain control of the area after a few hours, more than 400 people were arrested. Lula condemned the assault and called the participants fascists.
