- Tonight could be the launch of the first space rocket from British soil in Cornwall. Whether Virgin Orbit’s rocket, which will launch satellites into space, takes off depends on the weather.
- Today, south of Rotterdam, renovation work begins on the busy Rose Knoop intersection. Thousands of supporters of the former right-wing president stormed yesterday the parliament building in the capital Brasilia, because they believe that his successor Lula owes his electoral victory to fraud. The security forces managed to regain control of the area after a few hours, more than 400 people were arrested. Lula condemned the assault and called the participants fascists.
