The U16 is evolving this season into the future hen of the U16 regional group 1. A group composed mainly of players of the 2007 generation. Although 3 players born in 2006 can evolve per game. Kevin De Jesus’ boys played their last match of the calendar year against Saint-Priest. An event came to ruin the beautiful victory of Saint-Etienne.
3-1 victory
In a match where the Greens played one of the best teams in the group, ASSE replied by winning 3-1. On the training ground of center Robert Herbin, goalkeeper Maël Masse’s team had outclassed their neighbors from the Rhône. U16 international Luan Gadegbeku had opened the scoring before Prud’homme converted a penalty from Helmi Bentiba (photo). A last goal against his team had folded the match despite the late reaction of the Sanpriots.
A successful booking
Only the victory was taken away from the residents of the training center. Indeed, the bloods and golds were reserved for the match and won the case. The club fielded players who had played the previous weekend in Monaco in the U17 internationals (5-1 victory). Through this, Saint Priest complained because the rules forbid it.
Article 21.3.2 of the Laurafoot general regulation specifies that “Can not participate in an official match of the competition of a lower team, the player or player who entered the game during the last official match in accordance with article 118 of the general regulations of the FFF played by one of the higher teams of the club when does not play an official match on the same day or the following day.“
The match and the 3 points therefore change sides and are for Saint Priest who replaces the leading teams in the group.
A willingness of the club to let players play despite the rule to help them in their progress or a real oversight on the part of the club? The question exists!
The club is now 8th in a group of 11 made up of teams present only in the U17 national teams. Consequently the clubs cannot come down and the game must absolutely take precedence over the bet…
