(Laagendalsposten): A young man fell and was seriously injured after missing the Big Jump at Funkelia ski center on Sunday.
This is according to the general manager of the ski center, Terje Karlsen.
The young man received first aid from the center staff, who called an ambulance.
The ambulance arrived and requested a medical helicopter.
– I was told that young people were always conscious, says Karlsen.
The extent of the injuries is unknown, but the victim had pain in one wrist and rib area.
He was then transported to the hospital. Karlsen isn’t sure which hospital.
Karlsen adds that there were a lot of people at the ski center on Saturday, but not as many on Sunday.
