If you prefer smaller, more affordable iPhones, there’s a risk you’ll be disappointed with Apple’s upcoming launches.
After scrapping an “iPhone 14 mini” for the first time, it looks like there won’t be anything left of an iPhone SE 4 for quite some time.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo Apple has canceled the fourth generation of iPhone SE. One of the reasons is said to be the lower demand for cheaper models such as the iPhone SE 3, iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 14 Plus.
Another reason must be that the plans that Apple had for the iPhone SE 4, which has a larger 6.1-inch screen that covers almost the entire front, would lead to the mobile becoming much more expensive. The iPhone SE 3 and 13 mini have 4.7-inch and 5.4-inch screens, respectively, but have a larger bezel around them.
The iPhone SE is also the most affordable model with a starting price of around NOK 6,500. In comparison, the iPhone 13 mini, launched in autumn 2021, costs just over a thousand SEK more.
According to Kuo, Apple was planning to launch the iPhone SE 4 in 2024, but if the analyst’s reports are correct, it has been canceled for the time being.
