The Mufti of Akkar, Sheikh Zaid Muhammad Bakkar Zakaria, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guide, met with Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, at the Ministry headquarters in the capital, Riyadh, accompanied by a delegation of scholars.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, especially those related to the service of Islam, the dissemination of restraint and moderation, and confronting extremism, extremism and hatred .

For his part, the Mufti of Akkar appreciated “the efforts made by the wise leadership in serving Islam and Muslims and taking care of the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to its continued care and support for the Arab and Islamic world and to defend their causes , underlining “the will of the Kingdom to stabilize the situation in Lebanon and put an end to the current crisis”.

He also presented the reality in Lebanon and the crisis that the Lebanese are suffering from, and the reality of the religious system and endowments, and ways to improve, invest and develop it, were reviewed.

And Mufti Zakaria, during his reception of various political, religious, security, municipal and social delegations in Dar Iftaa Akkar, noted “the support of our Arab brothers and countries friends and brothers to Lebanon and their enthusiasm for Lebanon to overcome the difficult phase and recover its economy”, while emphasizing “adherence to the Taef Agreement in letter and spirit, because it laid the foundations for unity and partnership among the Lebanese, as achieved through the application of the principle of balanced development, which restores the rights of disadvantaged areas, realizes social justice and advances the country.

And the Mufti of Akkar, Sheikh Zaid Bakkar Zakaria, said: “The difficult circumstances the country is going through make it imperative for all to come together, cooperate, rise above factional interests and place the supreme national interest above every consideration, and we must also work hard and strive to advance Akkar and its development.

And Mufti Zakaria underlined that “the continuation of the devastating vacuum for the country, and the delay in reaching the presidential elections; And the formation of a new government that implements the necessary reforms and restores order to political life and institutions contributes, intentionally or unintentionally, to weakening the role of the state, which for all Lebanese is of no interest except its presence as guardian state of everyone and their business.
