The funeral of George Wassouf’s son, to the tune of his song “Farewell Day”. The Syrian artist asks not to shoot in his hometown

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The funeral of the body of “Wadih” son of George Wassouf, to the sounds of his famous song “Farewell Day”, on Sunday, in addition to the dance of his coffin as he entered the Greek Orthodox Church in Beirut, before being transferred to Syria to be buried at The Syrian artist’s birthplace in the countryside of western Syria’s Tartous Governorate on Sunday.

Video footage showed the moment the coffin carrying George’s son was moved, with the sound of the famous song playing in the background.

While George Wassouf appeared in a video clip, asking the people of his Syrian city, the infidels, not to fire “a single bullet”, at his son’s funeral at his final resting place in his hometown.

George Wassouf announced his son’s death on Friday, while ‘Wadih’ was reported to have died after undergoing surgery.

A large number of stars have expressed their grief and condolences to the Syrian artist for the passing of their son, who was buried in the city of Kafroun in Syria, where the family graves are located.
