Books – Muhammad Shaaban:
A security source responsible for the final outcome of an electric “elevator” falling inside a factory in Al-Omraniya neighborhood, west of Giza, revealed on Sunday.
The source said in statements to Masrawy that the incident that occurred inside the Al-Shorbaji factory in the Al-Kunisa area of the Al-Umraniya Police Department resulted in 9 people being injured, who were later transferred to Al-Haram Hospital for treatment.
An informed security source said that neighborhood officials have opened an investigation into the accident to find out the circumstances, listening to the statements of those responsible for the accident and calling maintenance workers.
The beginning goes back to the West Sector Director receiving a signal from the Relief Police Department that an accident had occurred inside the Al-Shorbagy factory opposite the Othman Bridge.
Major General Jaber Bahaa, director of the Giza Civil Defense General Administration, pushed rescue teams to the ground and it was discovered that an elevator had fallen inside the factory located on Othman Ahmed Street, injuring 9 people.
The incident comes days after an elevator crashed inside Al-Haram hospital, injuring 6 women.
