More than 560,000 California households they lost power last night due to what was described by the US National Weather Service “relentless parade of cyclones” that will continue, at least, for the next eleven days, having left at least six people dead since its approach last week.
The cyclones are part of a massive storm system that reached northern California on Friday and reached central state the next day, including flood alarms for Monterey, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, Mendocino, Humboldt or Sacramento counties, reports the ‘Los Angeles Times’.
Californians are bracing for the worst starting Monday, when the second of the five major storms which are expected in the next few days, as reported by the expert of the State Department for water resources, Michael Anderson.
At least six people have died in the harshest weather since New Year’s, including a small child who was crushed by a tree in upstate.
