Limbach-Oberfrohna – It would have been a eulogy! Gerd Schädlich would have celebrated his 70th birthday on December 30th. But things turned out differently. After a serious illness, he died on January 29 last year. But he is not forgotten. nor inside Zwickau still inside Chemnitz And Ouch. A film about him will premiere on January 12.
The MDR strip “Der Ger(a)dlinige” will be shown for the first time that Thursday in the Apollo cinema in Limbach-Oberfrohna. Entry is from 4pm
With his down-to-earth and meticulous work, Gerd has improved the teams in the region and led them to success. From the beginnings in Krumhermersdorf to Hoyerswerda, Zwickau, Aue and finally Chemnitz. He left his mark everywhere, deep and successful.
With Zwickau (1994) and Aue (2003) he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga. He is still the record coach at the FCE, no one could stand him in the mountains anymore. With the CFC (2011) he made it to the 3rd division. As much as the clubs dislike each other among the supporters, they love them all in a harmful way. It is the link of the trio, which otherwise has nothing in common.

Even if the cult of personality were alien to him, Schädlich would be quietly happy for followers and admirers to look back on their time together – or in his own words: “That’s enough!”
There are tickets up for grabs for the premiere! On Tuesday, from 1.00 pm, “MDR SACHSEN – DAS SACHSENRADIO” is raffling off tickets for the public.
