Video messagingIt’s no longer a joke for the Snapchat editor
Snap will release its staggered filters for video calls accessible on PC and Mac.
No more fun on Snap. After a disastrous year marked by a massive layoffsthe slide of his stock on the stock exchange or the abandonment of his selfie drones, it’s the Mac and PC camera’s turn to bear the brunt of his weight-loss diet. From January 25, it will no longer be possible to use it to apply offset filters to your face during a video conference on Zoom and other Microsoft Teams. Regulars will have to make do with Snapchat filters on the web version of the application launched this fall, has declaration the company on its website.
The Snap Camera app was introduced in 2018, with the ambition to help spice up live streams on YouTube and Twitch. We do not know the usage rate of the function, which is now largely in competition with similar filters offered natively by the most popular videoconferencing services.
Users will need to change the video settings of the camera source from “Snap Camera” to the default or newly defined camera.
