Fuel prices do not stop: “In A1 petrol up to 2.4 euros”. Consumer associations: “Meloni intends to intervene?”

Pichetto had announced that in case the level remained structurally above that threshold the executive would have been ready to intervene again. The minister hypothesized the case of one “stable and significant” growth. The fact is that since the beginning of the year, despite quotations of oil sharply downincreases are pouring into the Italian network. Increases that, according to the association consumerismcould inflame inflation again (down slightly but still record high in December) until and +0.6%. “Fuel prices seem out of control – says the president of Codacons Charles Rienzi – After the halt to the cut in excise duties, we are witnessing strong increases in pump price lists throughout the territory, the extent of which does not seem in any way justified by the trend in oil prices – says the president Charles Rienzi – For this reason we have presented a complaint to 104 public prosecutors throughout Italy and to the Guardia di Finanza, asking them to investigate the prices of petrol and diesel in order to ascertain any speculation or unjustified increases”.
