Polda Metro Jaya arrested Baharkam Polri Kombes member Yulius Bambang Karyanto o Kombes YBK while using methamphetamine with a woman in a hotel in North Jakarta (Jakut). DPR Commission III Deputy Chairman Ahmad Sahroni supports the National Police in cleaning up problem people.
“Appreciation to Metro Kapolda and all the staff who have been involved, directly or indirectly, in the cleaning agenda within the Polri institution. Once again this demonstrates Polri’s great commitment to eradicating all unprofessional and arbitrary individuals Metro Polda Jaya Top!” Sahroni said in his statement on Saturday (7/1/2023).
Sahroni said the cleaning program was very good, but it was still far from finished. He asked all the Polda to follow the indications of the Chief of Police not to hesitate to take action against unscrupulous members who have committed violations.
“This cleaning program is very good but it is not finished. We in Commission III hope that Polda Metro’s actions can be an example for other Polda-Polda in the region. There’s more time to deal with the elements, they’re all gone,” Sahroni concluded.
Kombes Yulius was arrested on Friday (6/1) in a hotel room in Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta at around 3:36 PM WIB. Polda Metro Jaya said that Kombes Yulius is an active police officer who is currently serving in Baharkam Mabes Polri.
“I confirm that this is a result of action by the Metropolitan Police Narcotics Investigation Unit. The affected person (service) is located in Baharkam,” Polda Metro Jaya Kombes public relations chief Endra Zulpan said when contacted detik comSaturday (7/1).
Meanwhile, Police Public Relations Division Chief Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said the National Police Headquarters would not hesitate to prosecute Kombes Yulius. If proven involved in the current case, the penalty of dismissal or dismissal without honor (PTDH) will be given to Kombes YBK.
“The criminal trial will be closed,” Dedi said when contacted on Saturday (7/1).
