Paris St. Germain’s ‘wasted’ superstar Neymar at a bargain price? As reported by the Spanish sports media “Fichajes”, the club is now rumored to want to give up on the winger and has drastically reduced the transfer fee. As a result, PSG should be ready to consider offers between 50 and 60 million euros. According to the report, the ownership is aimed at attracting financially strong Premier League teams. Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United are mentioned as interested parties. Earlier, Spanish sports outlet Sport reported that PSG recently asked for just €100m for the Brazilian. Last summer, Paris were said to have asked for a whopping €150m for the transfer. The French’s high transfer demands combined with Neymar’s astronomical annual salary, which is said to be up to €40m a season, have likely put off some interested top clubs thus far. Neymar is under contract until 2025 and also has a player option for another season. According to his own statement, the superstar doesn’t actually want to leave the club.
