Oberndorf – Around 70 million cinema tickets were sold throughout Germany last year. According to Peter Dinges, head of the Film Funding Agency (FFA), it is still a distinct disadvantage: in a “normal” year it would have been more than 100 million. Even though theaters are recovering from the slump, things haven’t gotten where they want yet, Dinges said in late December. “Cinemas are doing better, but still not well.”
