Kiev said its troops had killed 14 Russian generals, but Moscow confirmed only 4 of its generals were killed.
While only four deaths have been confirmed, that number counts in a country’s military losses. In fact, the scale of these losses is unprecedented since World War II.

By calculations, Moscow’s military strength is actually far superior to that of Kiev. However, massive military intelligence and weapons assistance from NATO countries, especially the United States, has turned the tables.
The following is a list of Russian generals killed in the war in Ukraine, both those confirmed and those claimed by the Kiev Army:
1. Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky
Position: Deputy Commander of the 41st Combined Arms Force of the Russian Army.
State of death: Confirmedby a retired Russian intelligence officer who was shot by a Ukrainian sniper in Hostomel on February 28, 2022.
