On Friday, Prince Harry was accused of intending to destroy the British royal family four months before the coronation of King Charles III, as the exciting details he mentioned in his memoirs completely eliminate any possibility of reconciliation within the Windsor family.
And royal circles have remained silent about Harry’s astounding torrent of allegations and the embarrassing details he recounted that leaked ahead of the publication of his memoir titled ‘Spare’ on Jan. selling by the hour by mistake, so it became clear that its content goes further, much more than expected.
Tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror noted in the headline: “No one is spared Harry’s brutal mission to destroy family.” The Sun newspaper accused the Californian prince of “throwing his family under a bus in exchange for millions of dollars”. And he believed that nothing “could justify the destructive and vengeful path he had chosen.”
And the ‘Daily Mail’ saw that Harry chose to ‘spit as much venom as possible’, describing his book as ‘despicable’.
The media have a hard time choosing the most interesting excerpts, as there are many of them in this 500+ page book. But the most offensive are those related to his brother William, heir to the throne and to the position of head of state in 15 countries around the world, whom Harry, according to extracts published by the media, describes as his “sworn enemy”. .
The Duke of Sussex accused his brother William of throwing him to the floor and snatching his necklace during a violent argument between them in 2019 over Megan, whom Harry had married a year before the incident.
And of this violent altercation Harry also speaks in an interview that will be broadcast on Sunday evening on the television channel “ITV”, in which he confirms that the irascible William wanted him to hit him back. Harry said William later “apologized” for his behavior.
And royal affairs expert Richard Fitzwilliams said “the worst” in the book is “the way William is portrayed,” i.e. it shows him as “a person who has betrayed his trust. (.. .) and someone who actually attacked him. Not a pretty picture for the future king.”
Answer and confessions
Harry also explained in his memoirs that he and William opposed his father’s marriage to Camilla, who is now the king’s consort, out of fear she would be a “bad stepmother”.
Harry did not hesitate to admit a number of secrets related to him personally, including his admission of using cocaine and that he killed 25 “enemy combatants” during his participation in military missions in Afghanistan. “It wasn’t a statistic that made me proud, but it didn’t shame me either,” Harry wrote, according to the Spanish version of the book. And he added: “When I found myself in the midst of the flames and confusion of battle, I didn’t think of these twenty-five as human beings.”
“They were chess pieces thrown off the board. The bad guys were eliminated before they could kill the good guys,” he added.
The Taliban government has slammed Prince Harry after he claimed in his memoirs that he killed 25 people in Afghanistan while on military service in a helicopter, describing them as “chess pieces thrown from the chessboard”. Abdul Qahhar Balkhi, spokesman for the Taliban government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, criticized the comments. “The western occupation of Afghanistan is truly a horrific moment in human history, and Prince Harry’s comments represent a microcosm of the painful experience Afghans have had at the hands of the occupying forces killing innocent people without any accountability,” said Balkhi.
A UK Ministry of Defense spokesman said: “We do not comment on operational details for security reasons.”
Losing virginity and communicating with hex
Harry also dealt with losing his virginity and using a woman who allowed him to enter into spiritual communication with his mother, Diana, who died in 1997 in a car accident in Paris.
Craig Prescott, a constitutional expert at Bangor University in Wales, said: “I don’t think we’ve ever seen anything like this, a member of the royal family attack the institution as publicly as possible.” “If this goes on for a long time – and it already started a year or two ago – then people might start wondering if they should change their mind about the monarchy, if there should be a reform,” he added.
Despite everything in his book, Harry reiterated in his ITV interview his desire to ‘reconcile’ with his family, ‘but first’ he has to ‘define responsibilities’.
And the 38-year-old prince made it clear in the ‘Harry and Meghan’ documentary series, supplied by ‘Netflix’ in December, that he wanted to present his own account of his sensational split from the British monarchy in 2020, which led to his relocation with Megan to California .
Buckingham Palace has so far declined to comment. And The Sun newspaper quoted sources close to Charles III and William as feeling saddened by what Harry mentioned in the book.
And pundit Richard Fitzwilliams said Harry and Meghan are watching the game, “because the palace can’t respond easily.” This book, he notes, is “very destructive as the coronation approaches.” There were still many who believed a few weeks ago that Harry could be present with his family at this historic event, but this possibility no longer seems possible.
When questioned on Friday morning, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak simply said it was “inappropriate” for him to comment on matters relating to the royal family.
