The Consellería do Medio Rural organizes a two-day course focusing on improving potato production techniques, to be held on the 18th and 19th of this month. Topics to be discussed will include the keys to carrying out preparatory work on the land, fertilization plans or the use of plant protection products; all complemented by visits to the field and from the point of view of international producers. The objectives to be achieved with this seminar are, among others, to reflect on the cultivation techniques in French Brittany, to propose strategic lines for the implementation of cultivation techniques that optimize yields and favor soil conservation and to establish the basis for strengthening local production systems. For this, the Juana de Vega Foundation, the Association of Entrepreneurs, Breeders and Farmers of La Limia (Adegal), EFA Fonteboa and Bretagne Plants collaborate in the development of this act.
This seminar aims to provide information on the different phases of the production, storage and marketing system. In this way the sessions will be in the morning and in the afternoon, from 9:30 to 18:00 on Wednesday 18 January and from 10:00 to 19:00 on Thursday 19. The program for both days is as follows:
