Really fast, these are the specifications of Realme’s 240W charging technology

JawaPos.com – As previously promised, Realme has finally detailed its 240 Watt charging standard. It comes with a 12A charging lead tuned for 20V/12A throughput, the mains voltage is then sent through three charging pumps.

The USB-C adapter has what the company calls dual GaN components. It’s also very small at 2.34 W/cu.cm, which is roughly the same size as the previous 160 Watt SuperDart adapter.

The 240 Watt charging architecture converts 20V/12A power to 10V/24A via three independent charge pumps. This means that the new phone will have three battery cells. The 12A cable will be four standard 21 AWG wires, which are nearly 3mm in diameter just for the wire inside the plastic insulation.

To ensure its safety, the whole process is monitored by 13 sensors in real time which will limit the power in case of danger. Realme’s charging protection also includes a fire resistant material and a certificate to ensure safety during use.

Even more interesting, the company has confirmed that the 240 Watt charging is more than just a show. Realme ensures that this technology will actually be present in the company’s next flagship.

The phone will come with “the largest cooling area in the industry,” featuring multiple sheets of graphene with a total area of 6,580mm squared. This will maintain performance under sustained load, but will also help handle the extreme loads of super-fast charging.

Realme guarantees that the phone’s battery will retain at least 80 percent of its original charge after 1,600 charge cycles, so the super speed won’t interfere with battery life.
