HTC introduces the new Vive XR Elite augmented reality headset

HTC company presented Vive XR Elite is a new augmented and virtual reality headset that doesn’t require connection to other devices to work. Sales will start in February 2023, price is $1,000.

The novelty received a pair of screens with a resolution of 2K (1920×1920 pixels) each, supporting a refresh rate of 90 Hz and providing a view of 110 degrees diagonally. The Vive XR Elite can be used with normal prescription glasses and also supports wired connection to a laptop, smartphone or game console.

The headset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chip paired with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Four wide-angle cameras are available to track the movement of the controllers or hands. The removable batteries provide up to 2 hours of use without recharging and the built-in battery provides 10 minutes of operation and allows you to replace the batteries without turning off the accessory.
