One person injured in fire at residential complex in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo | NHK

According to the Tokyo Fire Department, 17 fire engines are working to extinguish the fire, and the fire’s momentum is easing.

The fire occurred in a room on the 12th floor of a 14-story apartment complex, and one person, believed to be the inhabitant of the fire, was injured and received assistance.

The Metropolitan Police Department and others are checking to see if anyone failed to escape.

The site is an area where housing developments are concentrated just south of Takashimadaira Station on the Toei Mita Line.
