JAKARTA – Acer announced the presence of two Predator gaming laptops, Helios 16 and Helios 18 at the event Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas, USA. The two newest devices are claimed by Acer as the most powerful Acer gaming laptops to date.
Recognition as a laptop game The more powerful Acer Predator Helios 16 (PH16-71) and Predator Helios 18 (PH18-71) come thanks to a variety of the latest technological specifications that are incorporated into both.
Like a 13th Generation Intel ® Core™ i9 or i7 HX processor paired with an NVIDIA ® GeForce RTX™ 4080 (MGP up to 165W) laptop GPU.
The new 13th Generation Intel ® Core™ processors are believed to transcend performance to allow the laptop to do more simultaneously. Its faster performing core and hybrid design deliver highly efficient multitasking and immersive entertainment as you play your favorite games, uninterrupted.
Next up is the new NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 40 Series GPU using the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, which is said to deliver a huge leap in performance and powerful graphics. AI (artificial intelligence).

The difference is in the screen. While the Predator Helios 16 offers a 16-inch (16:10) WQXGA (2560×1600) display at 165Hz or 240Hz, the Predator Helios 18 features an 18-inch (16:10) display with optional WUXGA ( 1920×1200) at 165Hz, WQXGA (2560×1600) at 165Hz or 240Hz, and a super-fast 250Hz Mini LED display from AUO.
With the advanced technology offered, the two screens of the latest two Helios laptops also offer a matte black chassis which is streamlined by bevel thinner.
The overall design of the two laptops also features a mini-LED backlit keyboard with 1.8mm key travel and anti-scratch.Phantom N-key rollover. The per-key RGB backlit keyboard has been redesigned to display bright, consistent colors.
Users can also use PredatorSense to enable Predator Pulsar lighting for further customization of the keyboard’s per-key RGB backlighting.
Other mandatory connectivity needs are also present in the latest Helios gaming laptop which is also equipped with various peripherals. This includes one USB 3.2 Gen2 port, HDMI 2.1, two USB Type-C Thunderbolt™ 4 that support power delivery, and a Micro SD™ card reader.
Complementing all the advanced specifications provided, Acer also introduces the Intel® Killer™ E2600 Ethernet Controller. Powered by Intel® Killer™ Wi-Fi 6E AX1675 frequency band, the controller will allow gamers to fully connect with their Predator laptops and enjoy fast and smooth gameplay.
